Sports, Clubs and Activities

Pittville School students have all the advantages of terrific facilities at school including superb green spaces for sports activities.

We make regular visits to festivals that are held annually in the town such as the literature, science and jazz festivals as well as local and national theatre shows and sporting events, all of which enhance our students’ learning and development.

All students are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities within and beyond the normal school day, to follow their interests and to try something new. From debating groups, music groups and chess club to sports teams and competitions, Pittville students develop their knowledge and friendship thanks to the many opportunities provided by our staff, student leaders (including sixth formers) and wider community.

Pittville School is also proud to be part of the Cheltenham Education Partnership which is a collaborative partnership of all secondary schools (from both the maintained and independent sectors) and local organisations and charities.

‘The values of the Partnership are collaboration and co-operation. The driving ambition of the Partnership is to expand the horizons of young people in Cheltenham and to help them realise their full potential.’
